Melissa Kaye is a singer-songwriter in Roanoke, Virginia. In November, 2019, Melissa released her first Nashville recorded EP titled "Stronger". Throughout her early and high school years, Melissa was always part of her school’s Choir Program, often performing in local and regional competitions. During her High School Senior Solo upon graduation, Melissa stunned the audience with a performance of Mandy Moore’s “Only Hope” from the hit movie, “A Walk to Remember”. The experience inspired Melissa to continue studying Music while attending Hollins University, where she immediately became one of the select few to represent Hollins in their elite Talmadge Choir. After her graduation from Hollins, Melissa became the unique “Voice” of one of Southwest Virginia’s popular variety bands, True Cadence, before it dispersed in 2021. We are pleased that she is now a part of Midnight Blue. Melissa also performs as a vocalist for Last Illusion - Tribute to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Not content with the average approach to rock & roll, he quickly sought instruction from a local jazz legend, Harry Leahey, with whom he'd study for the next 5 years. More inspiration would come from experiencing a concert where Steve Morse would open for "The Guitar Trio" with Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin & Paco de Lucia. From then on Gary played in several small bands, one of which won a northeast contemporary christian music competition which yielded professional recording sessions and a promotional concert in NYC. Years later, he would increase his skills and participate in two Christopher Parkening Classical Guitar Master Classes at Montana State University. Upon moving to VA in 2005, Gary stayed active with church music, teaching guitar and performing in various venues before joining with Midnight Blue.
